A Typical Small Group Meeting

Small groups usually meet on weeknight evenings. A typical evening consists of:

  • Studying a passage from the Bible, a topic pertinent to the Christian life, or a chapter from a Christian book
  • Group discussion for application
  • Accountability and encouragement
  • Praying for one another
  • Praying for a missionary family

A Philosophy of Small Groups

At Grace On Campus, small groups are our primary place for extending pastoral care on an individual level, so that we might fulfill the command of Hebrews 10:24-25 where we are called to “stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

In small groups, we are able to relate more deeply with a smaller number of people and practice many Biblical priorities: specifically discussing and applying God’s Word, praying for one another, providing accountability, and biblically helping one another in our pursuit of Christ. Lifelong friendships, built on God’s Truth and Jesus Christ, are often formed in the context of small groups.
